If the pregnant lady wants a meat pie and chips, you damn well get a meat pie and chips! Especially if she can keep it down.

In my Mrs. case, she only had one food aversion/craving situation during the pregnancy. She couldn't/wouldn't drink tea.

Imagine it. 8 months without tea.

It boggles the mind the sacrifices she's made for that baby.

[livejournal.com profile] sammywol is looking at something similar. She's off tea for about 4 weeks now already and there's no sign that she could face a cuppa yet. I fear the worst.

I can't drink tea either!!!! Whimpers! In Ireland!!!!! Whimpers a bit more. In fact I can't really drink anything except ice-water in small sips. That is going to be fun in December.

Please accept our deepest sympathies. The Mrs. has confirmed that a December without tea (never mind being just on ice water) was indeed not fun. Here's hoping this has cleared up by then.

A friend of ours had sever morning sickness through her first pregnancy and pretty much survived on canned peaches. The syrup used in that apparently has some anti-nausea effect due to its thickness and chemical composition.

It's not tea, mind you but it is something to consider.

Funny thing is, now you've mentioned it, the thought of the syrup from canned peaches is making me nauseous. Oh the irony, etc.

Peach syrup will be tried! Thanks for the tip. Given that my cravings-brain is fantasizing about Inniskillin ice-wine then there is a chance it might accept something syrupy and non-alcoholic as a substitute.
