puritybrown has a lovely post on 'things you don't know about Ireland. I saw it first at my lovely wife's LJ, where she had picked it up from irishkate.

I suppose that round of gossip-like spreading of the meme says something about Ireland too.

And I still think it's funny to try and convince USAn tourists that leprechaun is pronounced lePROOshun.
