The Reg has a piece on Israel's robotic machine gun posts, which just reminded me of too many stories from Rogue Trooper and/or the ABC Warriors. My dysfunctional sci-fi childhood imaginings becoming reality? Not so much fun as you'd think.

And I still don't have a personal rocket pack. (For Accentmonkey, "Why don't his legs catch fire?")
