Oliver Postgate, genius, has died. A moment's silence, followed by respectful Clanger noises for the man who made so many of the beautiful imaginings that populated my TV screen when I was a child.

The Reg has a piece on Israel's robotic machine gun posts, which just reminded me of too many stories from Rogue Trooper and/or the ABC Warriors. My dysfunctional sci-fi childhood imaginings becoming reality? Not so much fun as you'd think.
