Thanks to the generosity of

mizkit and T we now have a dryer in our kitchen. Given the weather we've had of late it may prove our only way to get dry clothes before the sun turns into a red giant.

my god, a possible plan.. an actual plan even..We shall do that. As soon as I have attacked my garden with a lawnmower/strimmer and hedge cutter so I can stop feeling embarrassed every time I leave for work (then I can do the laundry...)
