The past few days I seem to have become all thumbs. Not an hour goes by without me dropping, spilling, fumbling or misjudging something. I don't like it. Particularly as it seems to have escalated into vehicular mayhem. When pulling into a parking space in front of our house this afternoon, I went to reverse the car so as to line up more neatly in the parking space. I forgot the crucial element of putting the car into reverse gear and casually drove forward into a sign post. Sigh. Not my day, or week, really.

Well, although your Bodily/Kinesthetic score was pretty poor, mine was even worse!!!

Practice, practice, practice. That's the key, or so I'm told.

When driving you are most likely to f**k up when nearly home. That is when you are tired and your guard is down. That is why I always get most nervous on a plane when it is landing.

hugs love!!!

When I'm doing a three-point turn in an automatic, at the end of the reverse phase I'll often stick the indicator on, assume that (because the car's automatic) that means it knows I want to go forward again, *not actually put the car in drive*, and crunch up against the curb. Classy.

Ah, that's nice to know. It was the sudden realization of loss of control that upset me. I've got my driving test in less than two weeks, and driving is rather on my mind at the moment. I'm not so worried about passing or failing the test, as that's what it's for, but it shocked me to make an error that could so easily have hurt someone else. What if there'd been a pedestrian on the footpath?

Mind you, I think Sam's mother (who was in the car with me) was even more surprised. I hope she has a strong heart.
