You just know if they have that much cool stuff on the stairs that the attic will be even better ... except ... are they walking on the books for stairs?! *whimpers*

I think it looks as if you have to actually walk on books or DVDs too. That would distress me terribly. Apart from how on earth will the cat cope chasing his mousey up and down the stairs?

I foresee many a lost mousey down the sides of those stair shelves and a cross cat is a destructive cat.

Still ... that's a LOT of storage! You could fit a few micies in there.

I think it would be more practical, although less architecturally appealing, if the actual steps were each provided with a hinged lid. So you'd be walking on wooden steps, but could open them one at a time to get to your stuff. Then keep the open shelves up the sides. Less dusting.

The cat would probably go for that too.

So would I. Although I have seen something similar where there was a sliding drawer under each riser and that was pretty cool too.
