I think the basic premise is already pretty wild. Throwing Al Amarja into the mix is like pouring petrol on a fire. In a good way, perhaps.

I'd skipped over the original post, but this looks very interesting.

It parallels an old idea of mine, about running a 193X pulp-era dungeon ala Doc Savage, where players would encounter, um, xenofauna, and fight them with the latest modern military equipment.

Coolness! The original post didn't really grab me, except in a "that's kinda neat" way, but some of the ideas it sparked put a whole different shine on it. I don't know how much I'd enjoy playing it, but I'd love to run it.
