Driving Test

I had my driving test today. I passed.

[broad grin]

I am very pleased with myself. I was worried that I wouldn't pass the first time, as so many people in Ireland seem to only get their license on the second try. I was lucky with the examiner. My instructor pointed out a couple of the examiners while we were waiting in the carpark and told me that the man who examined me was a stickler for observation. My head and eyes were flicking about like mad things during the test and it seemed to pay off.

As soon as I get a new photograph of my lovely face I can send off my application for the full driving licence. Then, I'm driving to Mexico.

Thanks everyone. I'm quite ridiculously chuffed about passing my test. It does mean that I can sit in with Sam now (or once I've actually got my licence) so she can get the practice she needs to pass her test. Then we'll teach Rowan to drive. (It may be a little time before we try this.)

That's nothing. The instructor told me that cyclists are "public enemy #1". I thought of your 'discussions' with Marie and bit my tongue.

Maybe you and Kitsune can team up on Pramas and convince him that getting licensed to drive as an adult isn't so bad. :)

No I didn't get the U2 tickets.
Never mind, we're going to have an alternative u2 party and listen to them on cd and spend the money on champagne instead
