Rowan Tree and Red Thread

I got to see Iron Man last night. Thanks to the brave irishkate who volunteered babysitting services and let sammywol and I escape the kids and house for a few hours.

The film was great fun and very much as expected from the reports. Downey Jr. is a natural Tony Stark, Paltrow's Potts has steel enough for her own suit (hi mizkit!), and the pacing was pretty much spot on for a superhero origin story. It looks like it has legs as a series of movies too, so long as Downey Jr. keeps it together long enough to make more movies.
