A very happy Canada Day (a little late but what else can you expect from us Easterners) to all my Canadian friends, be they Canuck by birth, adoption or the alignment of the stars.

On behalf of Canuckistanians everywhere, I thank you, sir!

Perhaps the People's Republic of Cork and Canuckistan should form a Union of Serially Sloshed Republics.

Long live the workers' revolution (so long as the beer keeps flowing)!

Now that's a heady mixture. Sometimes the Atlantic seems just the right size. :)

Hope you had a good Canada Day.

Well then you're practically a Canuck yourself. We Irish have a similar tradition.

Huh! My mother's father's father was born in Canada! We must be related. :-)

Canada day, a day of sun, beer, sun, more sun, beer and fireworks.

I was working, but I did have glass of wine for lunch, the devilry of it!

That must be the Quebecois influence. I remember a lot of the permanent staff at the Service d'Astrophysique where I worked in Paris would take a glass (or two) with lunch. Now that's civilisation.

Belated chorus of the Canadian National Anthem from me, which as I understand it, is yon Joni Mitchell song, as of some time in the late '70s. (Could be worse, could have been made Rush's YYZ -- imagine brass bands struggling with the time signature of that intro...)
