Ha! Chance would be a fine thing. If I'm lucky I'll get a lie-in until the sybaritic time of 9am, maybe 10am.

Children do not respect adult frailties.

I had a lie-in today. 8.10 I was finally jumped on. And that was only because the jumper sprained his ankle rather badly yesterday. Going to bed early is the only solution. Nowadays I can barely believe that I never used to go to bed before midnight.

Up at 9.55am, hurrah!

We don't seem to be able to get the kids off to sleep before about 9pm so I often stay up later than I should just to feel like I've had some time to myself or with my wife in the day. Our bedtime has slipped back to round midnight and my bedtime reading has suffered as a result.
