Housey-housey

I'm a little surprised but cautiously pleased to tell that we've had our offer on a new house accepted. Lots of work yet to be done and plenty of scope still for financial deadlock as one or other bank may decided to throw a road block in the way, but grounds for a small 'hooray' I think. Particularly as we've been house hunting since forever. Or rather since June - it only feels like forever.

In other news [livejournal.com profile] sammywol has a really good bug that's knocked her voice out almost completely. I feel I've gone deaf; I'm asking the poor woman to repeat everything as I miss the first whisper unless I'm looking straight at her and concentrating.

I like the house. You can pretty much go to work at 8:58 now *S*. Great for Alex too ;) When will ye know if it goes ahead? Is there much of a chain on their end?
Between Sam and Kate you may want to invest in some of those mini-white boards they had in that great buffy episode

Yep, location really is a winner for this place. Mind you, I'll probably end up taking Rowan to school so I'll be walking away from work to start with.

It's in need of a lot of work inside - central heating, a new kitchen, loft insulation as well as complete redecorating - but I'm happy with the basic structure, the size and the location so I hope that things go smoothly from here.

We did resort of instant messaging across the living room at one point but she seems to be a little better and can whisper to me now.
