I just saw this post about TiddlyWiki at [livejournal.com profile] agrumer's blog. TiddlyWiki is a beautiful little wiki version that runs entirely from a single dynamic HTML page. It works with any CSS and javascript enabled browser. And it's cool: bring it anywhere on a USB pendrive and it's immediately to hand.

Edit: Also related is GTDTiddlyWiki, the Getting Things Done version of TiddlyWiki, emphasizing the use of the personal wiki as a planner and organiser.

Boy, is it ever. I'm moving my journal and various notes files over to it on my pendrive. Coupled with PortableFirefox it should be fine to run anywhere I can get a USB port.

Sweet.

?

But what do you do with it?

And what do you use it for?

For me it's like a perfect notebook. Hypertext automagically inserted, simple formatting, and everything in a single page of DHTML. I can carry it round on my pendrive, with a copy of PortableFirefox and be able to use it anywhere. I scribble a lot of things down in text files (and other formats) but I rarely get the chance to pull them all together. I'm hoping this will allow me to make connections between my stuff more easily.

I've got a bunch of notes for a sword and sorcery campaign that could do with some structure for a start.
