  1. My username is [livejournal.com profile] mylescorcoran because that's my name and I don't much like the pseudo-anonymous stuff that some LJers insist upon.


  2. My journal is titled "Rowan Tree and Red Thread" because I have a particular fondness for Rowan trees and I believe that particular combination is proof against the unwanted attentions of evil-minded individuals.


  3. My subtitle is "Joyful Sitting Amongst Friends" as I'm a long-time fan of M.A.R. Barker's Tekumel, a fantasy world quite unlike any of those created by Tolkein's heirs.


  4. My friends page is called "Bloggers Live In Vain" because I'm a Cordwainer Smith fan, and by extension a SF fan in general. I'm not sure if all we bloggers are obsolete though.


  5. My default userpic is because Scorch, the stuffed dragon in the picture, is a favourite with me and my daughter. The Santa hat is a seasonal extra.

Oh, I don't blame anyone in particular, least of all you. I just think the level of anonymity provided by nicknames and the goodwill of fellow posters on LJ is a pretty poor one.

I thought 'weeee! meme!' and then realised that I have been too shiftless to do all but the first on the list. today is not going to change that eitehr. Me TIRED!!!

I like your subtitle. It reminds me of Judge Dee as well as Tekumel.

Hi there,
Just a quick hello as I sent you a longer mail. Forgot to mention that we met Ken a couple of times and he seems to really like it here. He has just headed off to Koh Phi Phi for a week or so and will proabably stay with us when he comes back to BK.
