According to Science! I have a reason for dancing like an electrocuted chimp. It's all my mother's hormones' fault. Men with lower index/ring finger length ratios (correlated, it is believed, with androgen exposure in the womb and presumably the more masculinizing environment) are rated better dancers by 104 women in the study. My index and ring fingers are pretty much the same length.

This will come as no surprise to sammywol who has remarked on a number of occasions that I score more female than her in those "how masculine/feminine are you" quizzes. I will surreptitiously measure her fingers tonight for comparative purposes.
