This is rather bizarre. Apparently "a senior lawyer for the American government has told the Court of Appeal in London that kidnapping foreign citizens is permissible under American law because the US Supreme Court has sanctioned it."

Once the MPAA and RIAA realise the implications, watch for the black-clad copyright ninjas going extra-territorial.

Just a couple of hours ago a bus careened down our street, struck a passing car and ploughed into the wall across the road from our house. We're trying not to think about what would have happened if it had swerved left and not right.

There were great numbers of fire engines, ambulances, gardai (the Irish police) and even greater numbers of rubberneckers.

Rowan was super excited and bedtime was a little extended as a result.
