Laptop Pants?
Originally uploaded by MylesC
A package arrived for me today. I don't remember ordering any laptop pants.

Careful examination revealed a spare battery for the Eee PC, so I guess it was laptop parts.

Still want my pants, though.

Where'd you get your EEE? I'm considering picking one up.

I bought it at Dabs.ie. I'd be sure to get the 901 or 1000 model and not the 900 I bought, as the battery life on the 900 is shite, hence the purchase of a new battery (and pants) from Hong Kong.

I'd also wait a while and see how the Dell E and E-Slim do in reviews. In six months time there's going to be a bucket-load of 'mobile internet devices' and UMPCs like the Eee and you can pick and choose.

Hmm. All that means no instant gratification.

If you had learned to write in a Belgian school you would have no trouble in seeing that that is indeed an 'R' ;-)

6 out of 6 folks asked (in a highly rigorous sample of people I bumped into near the pigeon holes) all said "laptop pants!" when shown the label.

However none of them was educated in a Belgian school, so your point stands.

Perhaps they're meant for owners of Apple laptops who risk burning their thighs on the hot undersides of their machines?

I'm sorry but you're disqualified. That's an almost sensible suggestion and as such has no place around here.

Ha! Apple does that on purpose to bolster the third-party vendor market for laptop pants and pads.

Hmmm... do you by any chance have ready access to a Mac?

Did those laptop pants come with a joystick or trackballs?

I wish they had. At least then I'd have something to play with. The bloody battery is DOA and won't take a charge.

I'm waiting on the seller (some one in Hong Kong) to get back to me about a replacement but I'm not too hopeful.
