Recently sighted in a supermarket in Ranelagh, Dublin.

A package arrived for me today. I don't remember ordering any laptop pants.

Careful examination revealed a spare battery for the Eee PC, so I guess it was laptop parts.

Still want my pants, though.

I'm not sure if Cuarenta are Ecuadorian folk-jazz, a forty-strong band of close-harmony steveadores from Guayaquil, or just your common or garden post-rock electronic sound-collage merchants from West Ham.

Our daughter, Rowan, looks equally like (or unlike) both her parents. This will not, of course, silence the grand-parents, extended family, well-wishers and passers-by in the street, all of whom have strong opinions on babies and who they most resemble.

Taken at Gaol Cross near UCC in Cork. The local guerilla artists are having a ball with the election posters. I've heard of Mary Harney getting a "I've eaten all the pies" makeover too.

It's bloody chilly in Cork today, so I was reminded of the summer and sunshine days in Fitzgerald Park with Rowan.
