Peely Gone

I've just heard that John Peel has died. He was 65. Knowing him primarily from his radio show Home Truths rather than his Radio One DJing, I feel very sad to know he's gone. His quiet and passionate personality came through very clearly every time I heard him on the radio and the airwaves will be duller without him.

I only found out from D when I got in last evening, and I had nightmares about his death last night :-( Heart attack is a common complication of diabetes, and insufficient acclimation to altitude :-(
