Inspiration taken from [livejournal.com profile] nhw. I'm glad to see the Brussels life hasn't ground down the real Nicholas we know and love.

This is a hard one. I dont often think of fictional characters in a sexual fashion, but I'm sure I can give it a go. Unlike Nicholas I'm not particularly bothered by the "availability" or happily ever after relationships these characters may or may not end up with in the various sources. I'm a traditional primate at heart and probably a bonobo at that.

10. Angelina DiGriz, from Harry Harrison's Stainless Steel Rat novels. I lusted after the particular Angelina Carlos Ezquerra drew for 2000AD years ago.

9. Emma Peel, just 'cos I'm not breaking any preconceptions here. There's a very particular appeal of a proper English lady-spy in a vinyl jumpsuit.

8. Keira the thief from Steven Brust's Taltos novels. I know she's really Sethra Lavode, but I like the thief better than the undead sorceress. Call me old fashioned.

7. Griselda from Oliver Dickinson's Pavis stories. A tiny package but deadly.

6. Tara from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I'm not her type for certain testicular reasons, but lust will find a way.

5. Saffron/Whatever her name really is from Firefly as played by Christina Hendricks. She's all naked and articulate.

4. Dora Carrington, as played by Emma Thompson in the film Carrington. Confused, passionate, heart burning bright. What's not to like? I know she's not fictional really, but if Nicholas gets away with Eleanor of Aquitaine I can give myself some leeway.

3. Dr. Beverly Crusher, from ST:TNG as played by Gates McFadden. I have a thing for redheads, particularly well educated ones.

2. Ororo Munroe, or Storm, from the X-Men, preferably during that Barry Windsor Smith "Life-Death" phase.

1. Maggie and Hopey from Jaime Hernandez's Love and Rockets. I know this is double dipping, but they really come as a pair, if you pardon the pun.

Does it sound weird to also mention the three devious and delicious fictional babes Rhiannon, Morgan and Christiania from long-dead and greatly missed Amber role-playing campaign of my college years? And that one of those women was played (ably) by a man?

I fully agree about Emma Peel and Dr. Crusher. My other 8 lust inspiring ladies would be...

Willow, from Buffy The Vampire Slayer

Buffy

Catwoman, from either the comics or "Batman Returns"

7 0f 9, from Star Trek Voyager

Ellen Ripley, from the "Alien" series of movies

Jessica Rabbit

Mary Jane Watson

Pat Savage, from the Doc Savage pulps

I prevaricated about the lovely ladies from BtVS. I think Tara appeals to me most because 1) Amber Benson is lovely, and apparently a real sweetie too, and 2) she doesn't get the attention the others do. I wouldn't kick Anya out of bed for demon summoning either though.
