Rowan Tree and Red Thread

This one is my favourite. It's me with a teacosy on my head. The teacosy is the proud possession of my parents-in-law, and I wore on this occasion to amuse my daughter Rowan. The picture continues to amuse me at least as much as it did Rowan on the day it was taken.

Here my manly visage is on display for the world to enjoy. I am wall-eyed, I realised quite late in life, but everyone is very nice to avoid bringing it up. I like this one for puncturing my vanity, even in a small way.

and are a pair. The wooden bear is a small carving we have at home that sits on a shelf near the dragon, known as Scorch. The dragon was a Christmas present bought for me by sammywol a few years ago and it's wonderfully fuzzy and good for cuddling. These two form a pair in my head and I think of them as good friends. I was messing around with the camera one day and shot a few pictures of the two in the light coming from the skylight. I liked the results so well as to make icons.

Rowan is a small but vital force in my life. I seem to be spending a lot of time carrying her around at the moment but this picture reminds me that she has a little of Hermes in her.

Josie Jump and Miss Hoolie are two of the lovely ladies of Balamory. I really must write some Balamory fanfic at some point, though we all suspect that Miss Hoolie's heart belongs to PC Plum. I much prefer the first Josie Jump to the second actor, by the way, and there must be a story to be explored there about the Prisoner-like substitution of the character from the village one night.

No! Please let me drown before the giant scorpions get me! That sums up my approach to life, really.
